Today is day 13 of the Submissive Advent Calendar. If you missed yesterday’s post you can  go back to that now, or  rewind all the way to the beginning. You can also  read the introduction post.

This, friends, is going to be a hard task. But trust me, by the end of it you will have learned something very interesting about yourself so it is worth it!

A common saying of old is, "Children should be seen but not heard." I'm going to take a play on that and create a test for all of us.

Craft Time!

Need:

  • 2 jingle bells small enough to not get in the way, but loud enough to hear them at your feet.
  • 2 pieces of yarn or string

Tie the bells onto the middle of the string and then tie the string to your ankle. Repeat with other bell.

Your goal today is to go about your daily tasks without making a lot of noise. Try it. Learn how to walk carefully and silently. Find out if you fidget or twitch your feet. Learn how to be seen but not heard.

What Did You Learn?

Did you learn how to walk quieter? Take smaller steps? Did you become more aware of your movements and how you can change them to be more fluid and graceful? Good! That was the point.

What else did you learn from this activity?
