Has your submission ever let you down? Have you ever been criticized for your submission? Have you ever regretted being or feeling submissive in a moment or in a relationship? Have you ever looked back and realized you made a mistake and how did you handle your submission going forward from that.
This is a tough question. For most people finding your submission is like opening the floodgates to your freedom, your real self. For me it was a quieter realization. It started as a desire for kinky play and a connection with someone that was lacking. So, to think about if submission has let me down? No. It is far more than I ever expected it to be.
I have, on more than one occasion, been criticized for being submissive. It’s not exactly a quality my family developed and nurtured in me so when I started exhibiting signs of subservience to a man they asked me what was going on. I know it was out of concern for my well being because it is often believed that submitting to someone looks like abuse to others. I’ve had friends and kinky people I thought I trusted tell me that I should be a Dominant because of my attitude and independent nature. I’ve risen above all that to be the slave that KnyghtMare needs and wants in his life.
We’ve all made mistakes before and being able to really get over them and rise above them is a valuable trait that I’ve had to learn. I’ve done some stupid things in my life and even jeopardized my relationship with KnyghtMare a time or two in the beginning. But I’ve learned my place, I’ve learned what I really need in life and I’ve taken those mistakes as lessons. I’m better now. So much better.
