30 Days of Submission: Day 29 – BDSM in the Relationship

Is pain or humiliation (spankings for example) a part of your submission? What is your relationship to it? Do you embrace it as a part of your submission, tolerate it as necessary or have some other type of relationship with it?

Yes and no. BDSM came before my submission and would continue if I stopped being submissive. Sure submission enhances it, but pain play and humiliation play are not connected. I’m kinky. I like being kinky. I enjoy pain and rough sex, bondage and other sorts of play. It doesn’t happen nearly often enough, which is currently my fault – I’m in a rut, but when it does happen it’s fantastic.

Now, my submission exists and would continue to exist if KnyghtMare announced one day that he wasn’t interested in pain play or kinky sex any more. I’d still be his submissive. So this question, while I understand it, is misleading. Kink has nothing to do with submission and I’ve said it numerous times on this site before.

For me, kinky play is wonderfully fun, the rush of endorphins feels great, the adrenaline and excitement keep me wanting more. It is a part of my sexual wiring, not my personality and connection to submission.
