30 Days of Submission: Day 25 – Rituals of Submission

This entry is part 26 of 31 in the series 30 Days of Submission

Are there items, objects or rituals that represent or help you express submission? If not, have you ever thought of adding or being gifted one? Is there a special significance to these objects or rituals?

My relationship is full of ritual and protocol. It was most requested by me and created by myself as well. All of the rituals that I have helped keep me in my right mindset and if I forget I always have my mantra to recite that helps me.

As far as objects I have a couple that means something special to me. First is my collar and all previous collars that are now retired. It has the same value as my wedding ring and I would feel so sad if I lost it. Second is my slave journal. It’s not the online blog that I have, but that has value. I have a physical book that I can write in that Master doesn’t read. I rarely write in it but that’s not the point. The point is that I have a safe, private place to talk to myself and save things. It’s very special to have private space when you are a slave.

Lastly, I have a play collar and cuffs that I love. I actually just got them in May 2013. They are lovely to wear for play and I get to wear the collars more nights when my wrists aren’t bad.

You can participate in the 30 Days of Submission too! Check out this post and make sure you leave your responses in the Subguide Club under the correct day!
