I’m sure most of you are like me and are always looking for good BDSM erotica to read. A couple of months ago, a friend of mine (thanks, Shannon!) introduced me to indie author Red Phoenix and her series “Brie Learns the Art of Submission: Submissive Training Center”, which is a combination of all nine novellas that the author put together after the publication of the last one. After reading the first novella, “Brie’s First Day of Submissive Training”, I fell in love with Brie and the rest of the characters that you’re introduced to throughout the first novella and the rest of the series.
The series follows Brianna Bennett, a hopeful filmmaker, as she is introduced to the world that she never knew existed. It all starts when the dean of the Submissive Training Center leaves his business card with Brie after meeting her at the tobacco store she works at. Out of curiosity, she checks out the website and sees assorted lifestyle related images. These images piqué her interest and she inquires about the training center. She receives the information packet in the mail about the six-week course that is offered. After receiving the package in the mail and finding out about the “homework” that is to be included with the admissions packet, she throws everything in the trash embarrassed and worried about what she’s done. Despite her fears, her curiosity gets the best of her and she gets everything out of the trash, fills out and submits the application. Shortly after doing so, she learns she is accepted into the program and receives her uniform to be worn throughout her training in the mail.
During her six weeks at the Submissive Training Center, she learns to overcome fears that have haunted her throughout her past, broaden her horizons, explored her sexual fantasies more than once, learned what it takes to be a submissive, made some amazing friends, an enemy or two, and found the man she desires to call “Master”. The entire novel is filled with amazing characters that, like me, you’ll fall in love with and can’t wait to learn more about, especially Brie and the man she’s fallen in love with. I don’t want to spoil all the fun surprises that are in store for you inside!
