Today is day 10 of the Submissive Advent Calendar. If you missed yesterday’s post you can go back to that now, or rewind all the way to the beginning. You can also read the introduction post.
Lines are longer, there are more drivers on the road, the snow is falling and kids are a bit more excited than usual. It’s the holiday season and you are starting to feel stressed out, at your wit’s end and on your last nerve – all at once. The holidays have everyone you encounter frazzled and stressed out. They are cranky and annoyed, rude and uncaring. So, why would you want to be just like that? Show them, and yourself that you can be submissive, a happy submissive, through all the hectic plans of the season.
Do This
Stop. Just stop where you are and go look in the mirror. We are going to make one small change that will not only improve your mood but the mood of everyone you meet.
Smile.
That’s right, just smile at yourself. Make it an honest smile. Make it a huge smile. Make it a sweet smile. Just smile.
And keep wearing that smile throughout your day. Because if you know anything about human behavior it is that a smile is contagious. People can’t help but smile at someone that is smiling back at them. You are going to be the gift of happiness, the gift of a moment’s peace, the gift of a smile today.
See how many people you can make smile by the end of today and just how good you feel about yourself for smiling through the stress of another holiday.
Smiling is infectious, You can catch it like the flu. Someone smiled at me today, And I started smiling too.

Did you smile at anyone today? How did it make you feel? Did anyone notice that you appeared to be in a good mood? Will you continue to remember one of the simple ways we can bring each other joy is a happy face?
