When people talk about Day Collars, they mean a collar that doesn’t look like an obvious leather BDSM collar. Generally, it is discreet in appearance, often passing for conventional jewelry.
Some professions have wardrobe or safety rules regarding jewelry where an alternative collar may be desired.
A collar can be anything that you apply the symbolism to. I’ve seen collars that are rings, earrings or other piercings, toe rings, belly chains, or tattoos. I’ve also been told stories of people who use hair ties, neck scarves, ties, and enamel pins as their collars when at work.
I don’t have what I’d call a Day Collar because my collar is already pretty discreet in appearance. Here’s my current collar.
