Absolutely, 100% yes. A relationship, especially a D/s one is built on trust, communication, and honesty. You should not only expect them to tell you when they have relations with others but bring you onboard BEFORE that happens. Communicate everything so that you both know where you agree and where you need to compromise in the relationship. While negotiating the dynamic, make sure you discuss monogamy if that’s your preferred relationship style. Polyamorous relationships have even more to negotiate, but it’s never okay to add partners without being upfront and open about it with everyone involved.
Your sexual health is not only in your hands but your partner’s. Having relations without informed consent is a violation of that responsibility and could have dangerous repercussions.
Don’t let the Dom title negate being treated respectfully in a relationship.
