Can you feel submissive without a dominant partner? If so, how does your submission express itself? If not, how do you handle your submission or submissive feelings?
I do believe that you can feel submissive without a Dominant but it’s not easy. There are things you can do to help focus submissive energy in almost everything you do. It’s definitely more rewarding with a Dominant but not impossible.
For example, if you set up your own rituals, to remind you of your submissive dreams and goals, you can find the right place to go about your day in a submissive space. You can also serve in the community and get a sense of pride for helping others if you are service oriented.
Now I admit that I’ve never been a single submissive. When I was “single” I was a bottom. I played at parties and enjoyed the social plan. I didn’t have any submissive urges at the time because everything was so new.
But how does my submission express itself? In how I care for everything I do – with purpose. I’m far from perfect though so I also struggle and express my submission best in my angst and expression of my imperfect self.
Ultimately how I handle my need for submission is to ask for it. If you aren’t in a relationship, then the community could be an outlet. Many Dominants act as service Doms without the sex expectations and you can find someone to help you get your fix while you search for your one. There’s nothing wrong with that.
You can participate in the 30 Days of Submission too! Check out this post and make sure you leave your responses in the Subguide Club under the correct day!
