This is a specific question that is important to answer in a broader context. “How can I find new creative ways to further explore (insert desired kink)?”
It is common in online communities to crowdsource ideas for play. It is often met with the same response: “We can’t tell you what turns you or your partner on.” Which, on one hand, is somewhat valid. Being “bratty” looks different to everybody. Everybody has different limits.
I want to encourage you to view kink creativity as a muscle—just like the ones in your arm—and know that the more time you spend flexing your creative play muscle, the easier it will become and the stronger you will be. I think it is great that you’re asking how to find new ways, versus asking for bratting ideas!
Here are my best tips for expanding your knowledge:
- Google what you are looking for specifically, and attach “BDSM” at the end of the search.
Try out, for example, “playful brat ideas for online dynamics BDSM.” There are many great blogs, articles, and information sites available—it just takes time to read through them. Pay attention not just to what sounds good, but also to things that fall outside your interests and why they do. Get to know what you specifically enjoy and build play based on that. - Search on known sites for the BDSM community, like FetLife and Submissive Guide, and do some deep reading before asking the question anew. Find like-minded groups. Read their rules; read their most popular posts.
- Go to local events, see if any other people with similar interests or honorifics are attending, and try to make new friends who share your interests. You’ll be surprised by how many cool ideas you have to share with them as well! Even just sitting at a munch and listening will teach you some things. The community loves to share!
- Try some things, and learn from the experience.
This is the best way, of course, to flex that creative muscle. Sometimes we just have to try things out with a consenting partner, see how it goes, and learn from the experience for next time.
With these tools, you’ll be well on your way to building fun and sexy scenes for all involved.
